From 17.-21. July, the Crowne Plaza Hotel was exceptionally lively. With around 200 participants, MaterialsWeek 2024 is dedicated to innovative advanced materials research and network. Members of the OntoTrans project team were part of this interdisciplinary conference with related presentations, posters and flyers.
Gerhard Goldbeck (GCL) presented 'Tackling Innovation Challenges in an Industry 5.0 Context with an Ontology-based Open Translation Environment'. Numerous other EU-funded projects were present and we reconnected with familiar faces and also made new acquaintances. Outreach material was displayed at the EMMC stand for interested participants to read or take as a souvenir.
The importance of advanced materials research was especially highlighted in the presentation on the European Commission initiative "Innovative Advanced Materials for Europe" (IAM4EU). The initiative aims to foster partnerships and build synergies under Horizon Europe which was surely reflected in MaterialsWeek 2024.
